Hashon is an artist who, from a young age, used his art to express his creative mind. He began creating art in elementary school, using colored pencils to create fictional characters. Hashon was always fascinated by the infinite opportunities that came with creating art.

In high school, Hashon took various art courses at the Success Academy High School of the Liberal Arts to strengthen his skill. He enrolled in multiple advanced studio art courses as well as AP Art History to enrich his knowledge of art styles, and practices, and understand how to dissect a work of art. Hashon also consistently showcased art at school-curated art exhibitions and community events.

In his sophomore year of high school, in 2019, he had his first experience with paint. He was drawn in by the fluidity and the way the colors seamlessly blended. In his junior and senior (current) years, Hashon joined the National Honors Art Society, where he worked with other artists and other mediums such as charcoal and graphite. Hashon will continue his study of Art at Carnegie Mellon University in the fall of 2022 where he will also immerse himself in the study of Decision Science to understand human reasoning through data-driven courses.

In the Summer of 2020, Hashon took a step forward with his career as an artist, when he launched his business, Creations By Hashon which started on Etsy where he sold original paintings and stickers. Hashon ran his Etsy store for nearly a year and a half until he moved Creations By Hashon to his own website through Big Cartel. Hashon now sells original art, keychains, and stickers on his website and at various art exhibitions in New York City.

Hashon has explored various styles of art such as graffiti, portraiture, and landscapes. He has found a blend of them all in Surrealism, the style that he consistently practices today, where he can express the vastness of his imagination. Surrealism is not only an art style to Hashon but an outlet for expression. Each of his surrealist pieces has its own unique meaning and is full of intense symbolism. Hashon aspires to continue the legacy set by surrealist artists like Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte, and Frida Khalo through bizarre compositions found in his pieces.
